Hamilton House is located in the historic market town of Buckingham. The home is close to shops, local amenities and public transport. The home provides residential, nursing, respite, and palliative care. This traditional town house has been sympathetically converted into a spacious care home. Buckingham is convenient for the M1 motorway.
Accommodation at Hamilton House is provided in single occupancy rooms, however, some are spacious enough for sharing companions. The majority have private toilet facilities.
Residents are welcome to relax in one of the TV lounges or in the quiet sitting room. Meals are taken in one of the separate dining rooms, where residents can socialise with others. Traditional, home cooked food using fresh produce is served offering daily choices. Special diets can be catered for.
Visits are made regularly to the home by a qualified chiropodist and hair stylist. Complementary therapies can also be arranged.
The home provides a varied programme of activities for residents. The activities coordinator consults with residents and their families to organise a stimulating variety of events, both in the home and trips beyond it.
With 43 bedrooms offering residential and nursing care, we think carefully about the type of room each resident needs. Many of our rooms are en-suite and there are bath and shower rooms on each floor for residents to use with or without assistance.
All our rooms have recently been refurbished to the highest specifications with new furniture, soft furnishings and fittings. We have designed the rooms with your comfort in mind. Your bedroom furniture consists of: an appropriate bed suitable to your needs, wardrobe, bedside table with lockable drawer, armchair and other furniture suitable to the size of the room. Your bed linen and towels are provided by the home.Personalise your space
We understand that moving into Hamilton House will be a considerable transition, but one we try to make feel as easy as possible. Your room is your own personal space, which is why we encourage you to personalise it if you like, by hanging your favourite pictures or bringing small pieces of furniture.FAQWhat changes can I make to the room?
We encourage people to make the rooms their own. Quite a few of our residents will ask us to take out pieces of our furniture to make room for some of their own from home. The choice is yours.
