Carnalea comprises two Victorian buildings. The main building can accommodate 31 residents and the adjacent smaller house, which is linked, can accommodate a further 9 residents. The living environment is of a very high standard; our rooms are well appointed and comfortably furnished.
The home has a passenger lift and a stair lift in operation.
There is a call bell system throughout the home and TV points in all bedrooms and telephone lines can be installed for individual residents' upon request.
We provide a choice of menus offering nutritional home cooked meals. Individual preferences and specialist diets are catered for. We actively seek suggestions from our residents to broaden our current choice of menu. We hold a Clean Food Award for 2012.
Residents are accommodated in both single and twin rooms, some with en suite facilities. Our three delightful lounges and conservatory all lead onto our beautiful gardens.
Our philosophy is to assist and encourage our residents to enjoy life the way they choose, within a comfortable, home-like setting. We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of our residents' lives and we actively encourage families and friends to remain involved in their relative's lives.
We have caring people on hand 24 hours a day to help with regular activities and the tasks of normal daily living, according to the individual person's needs and wishes. Care is delivered with patience, kindness and understanding.
We hold our residents at the heart of our care by making time for them, listening to them, respecting and supporting them whilst enabling them to remain in control of their own lives and maintain a sense of self.
Carnalea is located on the main 'A2' road on the outskirts of Faversham, within easy reach of public transport. The town centre and railway station are approximately 1 mile from the home. A number of shops are within walking distance.
