Ashurst Park cares for older people and is able to offer superb palliative care.
Ashurst Park is one of brighterkind's top 10 scoring homes in our 2018 residents and relatives satisfaction survey. 100% of Residents and relatives were satisfied with the overall care they received and on average rated the home as 8.9 out of 10 across a range of questions covering every aspect of life in the home.
The home is situated in the Kent countryside, just five miles from Tunbridge Wells and is conveniently located for local amenities and public transport. In 2017 the home won several Tunbridge Wells in Bloom Awards for it's beautiful gardens and planting.
Our home, which has recently been beautifully refurbished is set across two floors, and there are very attractive and well equipped dining and lounge areas on each floor, as well as a new 'Cup and Saucer' cafe on the ground floor where residents and their families can enjoy hot and cold drinks and snacks at any time of day. The home also has well maintained outdoor spaces with stunning views where residents can enjoy fresh air and outdoor activities. We are proud to be part of the Hospice in the Weald Federated Scheme, sharing training and knowledge with healthcare professionals in West Kent.
The care home is located on the edge of Fordcombe village and is surrounded by landscaped gardens. In 2016, Ashurst Park was completely renovated to create a charming and characterful place to live.
Bedrooms at Ashurst Park are single occupancy, though some are large enough for couples to share. A number of bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all have television and telephone points and are linked to a nurse call system.
Ashurst Park has several quiet lounges including one with a grand piano, while the home has several TV lounges for residents to use. They can also enjoy traditional home cooked food in separate dining areas, where they can socialise with others, while all meals are prepared on-site by chefs who are able to cater for all dietary requirements.
A qualified chiropodist and complementary therapies regularly visit the home, which also has its own salon, run by an experienced hair stylist.
An activities therapist provides a varied programme of activities. These are organised in close consultation with residents and relatives to ensure that there is always something for everyone to enjoy.Ashurst Park Care Home is proud to announce success at the recent the Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom 2017 competition:
We offer brighterkind care – a person-centred approach that is delivered through quality care, recreation and activities, and food and dining.

With 47 bedrooms or varying sizes, all offering nursing care, we think carefully about the type of room each resident needs. Some of the rooms are en-suite, some have direct garden access and others have balconies. There are also bath and shower rooms on each floor for residents to use with or without assistance.
All our rooms have recently been refurbished to the highest specifications with new furniture, soft furnishings and fittings. We have designed the rooms with your comfort in mind. Your bedroom furniture consists of: an appropriate bed suitable to your needs, wardrobe, bedside table with lockable drawer, armchair and other furniture suitable to the size of the room. Your bed linen and towels are provided by the home.Personalise your space
We understand that moving into Ashurst Park will be a considerable transition, but one we try to make feel as easy as possible. Your room is your own personal space, which is why we encourage you to personalise it if you like, by hanging your favourite pictures or bringing small pieces of furniture.FAQWhat changes can I make to the room?
We encourage people to make the rooms their own. Quite a few of our residents will ask us to take out pieces of our furniture to make room for some of their own from home. The choice is yours.
